IFMSA – The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations is the largest international organization of medical students, representing over 1.5 million students worldwide.
HelMSIC, as a full member of IFMSA, is the only organization representing Greek medical students abroad. Every student from the 7 Medical Schools of Greece has the opportunity to participate in IFMSA through HelMSIC.
One of the most essential spaces for interaction, dialogue, and decision-making within IFMSA is its General Assemblies, one held in March (March Meeting) and one in August (August Meeting).

IFMSA is coming to Greece, with the organization of the August Meeting, taking place 01–07 August in Ioannina!
A large-scale global event, with many different aspects, is being organized in our country entirely by medical students.
You can become part of this event as well by responding to the Call for Volunteers.
Through this opportunity…
- You will experience hands-on volunteering by helping and contributing.
- You will engage with the international medical student community, as well as the Greek delegation of HelMSIC.
- You will help shape a unique experience for all participants.
- You will help establish the conditions for IFMSA’s growth on administrative and educational levels.
- You will meet new people, explore different cultures, and build global connections.
As a volunteer, you will need to:
- Prepare in online sessions before the August Meeting together with the rest of the team
- Be available throughout the event dates 01–07 August
- Participate in the meetings and contribute in the responsibilities of the volunteers during the event
- Show responsibility, enthusiasm, and team spirit
Participation as a volunteer is free of charge! Meals and accommodation during the days of the General Assembly will be covered by the event.
