What is Open HelMSIC Week?
HelMSIC – Hellenic Medical Students’ International Committee is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan organization of medical students, representing 13.000 medical students. This year, from October 6-10, Open HelMSIC Week will take place in all 7 Medical Schools of the country. During this week, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the activities of HelMSIC in the coming year and how you can actively participate.

During the Open HelMSIC Week, from 6 to 10 October, you can learn more about HelMSIC at the office of the Local Committee.
Take part in the introductory webinar and the peer education training
On Friday, October 10, at 19:00, an introductory webinar will take place in which you will have the opportunity to get to know our activities, to ask questions, and also get to know medical students from all over the country.
Medicine is not just a science – it is also a relationship. Communication between doctor and patient influences diagnosis, treatment and – above all – the human experience of care and becomes the most powerful “therapeutic tool”. Collaboration, empathy and effectiveness in receiving are now essential in approaching patients. This is why HelMSIC organizes a peer education training on “Doctor – Patient Communication”.
Peer Education is a non-formal method that promotes independent learning and the transmission of information in a more interactive environment.

Participate in the first meeting of your Local Committee
During the Meeting, you will have the opportunity to learn more about HelMSIC, as well as to be informed about all the upcoming activities and opportunities, such as Exchange Exams and internships on the Polyclinics of Medecins du Monde – Greece.
