HelMSIC gives you the opportunity to turn your thoughts into impactful writing.

The “Voices of Tomorrow’s Doctors” series of articles was created with the aim of highlighting the voice of medical students through evidence-based and substantive discourse. Each month, a topical issue is announced that reflects contemporary challenges and discussions in the field of health and beyond, on which participants are invited to write an article in English, with the prospect of publication in an international medium, such as the European Sting, an independent European electronic magazine that covers issues of politics, economy, technology and society, with a particular emphasis on developments in the European Union and the international arena. Through this process, students gain experience in formulating an opinion article with an international orientation and come into contact with the publishing standards of a European medium.

This initiative aims to:

• Enhance the scientific and editorial expression of medical students, giving them the opportunity to transform academic knowledge into accessible and substantive public discourse.
• To cultivate skills such as critical analysis, bibliography synthesis and responsible formulation of positions on complex issues.
• To promote dialogue around critical global health issues, encouraging a multidimensional and intercultural approach.
• To strengthen the participation of young people in public and European debate, actively contributing to the formation of a more informed and aware society.

Participation Process

To participate:

• Carefully read the relevant informational article and the terms of participation.
• Write your article in English (up to 500 words).
• Prepare a short biographical note (1–2 sentences in the third person).
• Select a recent photo of yourself.
• Complete the submission form, attaching your article, bio, and photo.
• Follow European Sting on Facebook or on X (@europeansting).

After the submission process is completed, the magazine will select and publish certain articles.

At the same time, HelMSIC will promote through its official communication channels the articles that meet the evaluation criteria, which include:

• Relevance to the topic
• Qualitative structure and evidence-based argumentation
• Objectivity
• Adherence to technical specifications
• Previous writing experience in international journals (if applicable)
