This summer, a unique event will take place. The Healthcare Leadership Summerschool is a personal

We believe in healthcare that serves the needs of patients in a sustainable and human way. We aim to
bring healthcare back to its core, its fundamental basis and its humanity.
Why do you want to become a doctor? How can you become the best doctor that you can be? What
do we need in healthcare and how do you define the role of leadership? We are looking for medical
students who are passionate and courageous enough to challenge the current system, and as
Gandhi so beautifully words it, to "be the change you wish to see in the world". We hereby call upon
all medical students to gather their courage and will to take the first step and apply as participant for
HLSS 2012.
From the 20th until the 26th of August, this exceptional summerschool will take place in the
Netherlands. The focus will be on healthcare as a whole, you as a doctor in that entity and the specific
qualities that make you the best doctor you could be. All this however goes beyond the borders of
medical education. We will therefore focus on the human part of healthcare, the mind-body
connection and personal leadership. This summerschool is a personal journey towards
changing healthcare.
If you want to be a participant, we are looking for those that are
• passionate about improving healthcare
• not afraid for challenges and eager to learn
• willing to develop themselves as future change agents
